How We Review Content

Content on this site is researched directly from official state and federal sources. This page explains how pages are written, checked, and kept current over time.

1

Research

Each page is researched using primary sources — official state Medicaid agency websites, CMS waiver documentation, state developmental disabilities agency publications, and federal program guidance. We go directly to the source rather than summarizing other summaries.

2

Writing and Fact-Check

Pages are written in plain language and checked against the source material. Links are verified. State-specific information is confirmed against the most current published version of the relevant program or policy.

3

Ongoing Maintenance

We run automated checks weekly to flag official state and federal pages for changes. When changes are detected, affected guides are reviewed and updated. Readers who spot errors can contact us directly — we treat those reports as high priority.

Found something out of date?

Medicaid rules and waiver programs change frequently. If you spot something that looks wrong or outdated, please contact us — reader corrections are one of the most important ways we stay accurate. We take those reports seriously and act on them quickly.
